Inspired by modular furniture of the 50's and 60's, Leslii fashioned a series of mix and match artworks, where the collector becomes part of the design process. Modular wall pieces come finished and ready to hang, right out of the box. All of Leslii's artwork is beautifully finished.
Leslii has come up with an affordable and fun way to collect and buy art. She wanted to create a series of mix and match artworks, where the client becomes the designer. This eventually resulted in the creation of modular wooden wall tiles, finished and ready to hang, no framing is needed. She takes a rigid, historical printmaking process and fuses it into today's modern world. Rejecting the idea that printing is only for repetitive editions of identical paper images, Leslii takes extra time to print editions (from her original paintings) that are varied in color, no two alike. She then adds to each print; oil pastels, water colors, gel medium and a top coat of bees wax. Making each one a real one-of-kind piece of art. You can add to your collection in time, hanging them on your walls as one big piece of art like a mosaic, using as many as you wish. These wall tiles come in two different sizes 6 inches by 6 inches by 1 1/2 inches and 10 inches by 10 inches by 1 1/2. The sides are stained using her own dark espresso stain mix .
These wooden wall tiles are from original paintings created by Leslii. These wooden blocks are limited editions, she will only make 50 of each image. The collection is done in a range of mixed medium, all one-of-a-kind. They are done with layering many different kinds of paints, gels, and bees wax, about 10 layers in all. The images are all 6 inches by 6 inches with a 2 1/2 inch border of white around each one. All are hand signed by Leslii, and done on acid-free, heavy weight, durable, cold press water color paper. They are framed with a 5 3/4 inch snow white acid free mat and acid free backing in a simple blond maple wood frame, making the over all framed piece 20 1/2 inches by 20 1/2 inches big.
