Howlite is believed to be a great stone for enhancing self-confidence and inner strength, as well as bringing calming energy into one's life. Howlite is said to remind us of the power we possess and encourages us to use, channel, and harness this energy toward individual self-healing.
Howlite, also known as Magnesite, is a calcium borosilicate hydroxide mineral that crystallizes in the form of masses, nodules, and occasional small prismatic crystals. Howlite was first discovered in 1868 near the town of Windsor, Nova Scotia and since then, has been found in Germany, Serbia, Turkey, and the United States. The only mines in the world where Howlite has been found in the crystallized form are in California and Nevada.
